Crispy Oven Fried Chicken

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 cups low fat sour cream
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons crushed dried rosemary
  • 3 teaspoons dried sage
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 bone-in chicken breast halves with skin
  • 4 cups crushed cornflakes cereal


  • - Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and place a cooling rack sprayed with oil on top of a large cookie sheet
  • - Mix garlic and sour cream together in a medium bowl
  • - Mix cornflake crumbs, rosemary, sage, garlic powder, salt and pepper together in a different bowl
  • - Coat chicken with garlic sour cream mix, then add on cornflake mix
  • - Place chicken pieces on cooling rack
  • - Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees until juices run clear and meat is ready (no longer pink in color)"


"This crispy chicken is lower in fat due to its preparation but still absolutely delicious and a hit with the whole family and any guests you may have over. It's easy to make and can be served with a variety of sides like mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and fresh veggies. Bake and enjoy! (Prep/cook time: 1 hour and 20 minutes, recipe yields 9 servings)
