It’s African Gold rum is aged in French Oak casks — giving it a sublime woody note, almost like that of a fine Cognac.
The wood is secondary and very subtle — but it always helps to warm even the coldest of drinks.
We love it poured into a Lazarus or something colder, just for a little extra texture.
In fact, it really enhances most any drink. For mixing, though, Mount Gay Eclipse is just perfect on its own.
It’s complex and extremely aromatic. If you’re a fan of aged Jamaican rum, then Mount Gay Eclipse is undoubtedly one of your favorites.
It’s so tasty and enjoyable that you can’t help but want to finish the bottle.
