One of my favorite things about cooking now is how ingredient lists don’t have to be followed to a T, well other than baking, those ingredient lists should be followed closely. But I’m never one to run to the store for any forgotten ingredient that’s not 100% necessary for a recipe. If I don’t have one of the types of beans or veggies that’s supposed to be in a recipe, I have zero reticence in subbing it or just leaving it out. Cooking and eating is something that enhances our lives, and if it adds more stress than necessary, something may need to change. That’s one change that has positively impacted my life. So, you don’t have red bell pepper, red kidney beans, or another ingredient? That’s fine sub another ingredient or just omit it. No harm no foul.
