“Sweetish” Meatballs

“Sweetish” Meatballs

  • For the meatballs:
  • lbs ground beef
  • 1 p cooked rice (measured after cooking)
  • 2 cu applesauce
  • 2 medi onions (grated)
  • 1-1/2 tssalt
  • Freshly grnd pepper to taste
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 cube beef uillon
  • 1 Tbs hot wate
  • 1 cup tomato sau
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • tsp coriander
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp ogano
  • 1 tsp of own sugar
  1. Prehe the oven to 350°Knead all the meatball ingredients together. Form into medium-size meatballs and place in a roasting pan or baking pan large enough to hold them all in one layer, preferably not touching.
  2. Dissolve the bouillon cube in the water, helping it along by crushing with a spoon and stirring. Mix it together with all the other sauce ingredients. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
  3. Bake for one hour. Serves approximately 6.”
